Deliver milestones
Working in the project workspace, requesting evidence, submitting a milestone, and what approval and release mean.
The workspace #
Each contract has a workspace with tabs for overview, messages, milestones, evidence, findings, sessions, files and disputes. The overview says what is waiting on you.
Evidence #
Ask for what you need through evidence requests: state the document or record, why it matters and by when. The company uploads against the request; you accept it or send it back with a note. Every request, file and decision stays in the register, nothing is deleted, so the register is your working papers.
Sessions #
Propose interviews and walkthroughs from the sessions tab; the company confirms or declines with a note.
Submitting a milestone #
When a milestone's deliverable is ready, attach it and submit for approval. The company approves it, or sends it back saying what is missing; revise and resubmit. On approval the milestone's money is released to you.
A milestone can only be submitted after the company has funded it. A funded milestone is the signal to start on it.
Findings #
Raise findings as you identify gaps; see raising and closing findings. The findings register is what your final report is built from.
When there is a disagreement #
If a company sends a milestone back and you believe it was delivered as agreed, open a dispute on that milestone. Both sides write their case and attach evidence; an Auditly mediator decides. Disputes are for the exception, and a pattern of them shows on both records.
Money today #
The platform records funding, approval and release, and shows each on the milestone and in Earnings. The payment provider that moves the money is not connected yet, so a release is a record of what is owed rather than a transfer, and the screen says so. See payouts.
